In this hot political climate it’s striking to note all of the bands and artists rushing to the cause. Regardless of which side the band favors, the message is now the music. Multi-platinum rock favorites A Perfect Circle have been extremely vocal about the state of the world and America, and hopefully you had a chance to see the "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drum” music video – an up-front visceral (and logical) attack on President Bush.
Hot on the heels of “Counting Bodies” is the second track from the band’s new album “eMOTIVe.” It’s a reworking of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” While Lennon’s original was a hopeful ray of sunshine, A Perfect Circle cast the song downbeat and somber. Darker yet is the video which is another searing piece of political commentary highlighting the injustices and atrocities that currently plague the greater common populous. The resounding message from the song and the video asks the viewer “can’t we make it better?”
We gave "Imagine" music video by A Perfect Circle a listen and yeah, we like it. Let's see if it will 'grow' on us. (October, 2004)
Ahhh, here it is a classic. Although you might not see it that way, it is hehe. Anyway, don't sleep on this joint.
