THE LAST is one of Aventura's most interesting projects. It draws upon world music, hip hop, R & B and rock. Guest artists include Akon, Ludacris, Wyclef Jean, Wisin & Yandel, and Arturo Sandoval.
Aventura’s name speaks for itself. After a humble beginning in the South Bronx and a decade of struggle, the band broke through with its signature-style-fusion of Dominican Bachata with hip hop, R & B, Rock and world music. Their second album, entitled “We Broke The Rules” is their bio in a nutshell — they have broken just about every rule in the book and have prevailed. Consistent winners of Premio Lo Nuestro, Premio La Juventud, El Casandra, Billboard, Monitor Latino to name a few, their status continues to grow.
In September 2007, they sold out solo at Madison Square Garden; at the last minute, to accommodate frustrated fans, the Garden had to open seating to 360 degrees. The DVD of this landmark concert has topped 400,000 units, an impressive figure in the Hispanic market.
