Early 2004, after leaving countless bands, including The Fucking Champs and Drunk Horse, Josh Smith was looking for an insane soul drummer, with hopes of starting an instrumental R&B combo along the lines of the 1966 incarnation of Gatemouth Brown's Beat Boys with Freddie King.
