Butterfly Boucher's Biography

Singer-songwriter-musician BUTTERFLY BOUCHER has announced the release of her forthcoming album SCARY FRAGILE, available digitally and in stores June 2 via the imprint Situation Operation. It was produced by David Kahne (Paul McCartney, Regina Spektor, Kelly Clarkson, The Strokes). The album’s lead single “Gun For A Tongue” captures Butterfly’s edgy mix of soaring pop-rock melodies and unflinchingly intimate lyrics, delivered with her trademark vocal dexterity.

BUTTERFLY will hit the road for an East and West Coast U.S. tour including performances Wednesday, May 20 at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City and in Los Angeles Monday, June 1 at Spaceland. She’ll also launch a residency at the Hotel Café Wednesday, June 3--which marks her official CD release show presented by KCRW--and continuing June 10 and 17th. On June 7, Butterfly will join LA singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards for a one-off show at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach. Next, she’ll head up the west coast for a handful of dates with French artist Emilie Simone in Portland, Seattle and San Francisco.

On Tuesday, July 7, BUTTERFLY will be the featured interview and live performance guest on KCRW’s “MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC” airing daily (M-F) in Los Angeles on KCRW 89.9FM. The show can be heard online at: www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb.
