Why we like Be Your Own Pet (and why you should too):
They played our 2004 Insound CMJ Party, they are signed to Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label, they rock harder than any other teenagers we know, they are from Nashville, they played their first gig in a coffee shop, Rough Trade but out their singles in the UK, they recruited Steve McDonald of Redd Kross to produce their album, Nathan has the best 'fro ever, and most importantly...Jemina Pearl's voice whips us into a frenzy while Jonas Stein's guitar thrashing combines with with the monster rhythm section of Nathan Vasquez (bass) and Jamin Orrall (drums) to make us dance uncontrollably.  What's not to like about that!
