Bloc Party's new single, "Flux," is a step in a glorious new direction for the London-based foursome, and their first piece of new music since the release of their critically acclaimed sophomore album, A Weekend in the City, earlier this year on Vice Records. After making its debut on Late Night with Conan O'Brien this October, "Flux" will be available for your mp3 player today in the form of a brand new digital EP, featuring remixes by the likes of Good Books, Punx Soundcheck and more, as well as a new, improved digital re-release of A Weekend in the City. "Flux" is Bloc Party like you've never heard them before, mixing their signature guitar sounds with dancefloor-ready keys. If this song doesn't make you get up and move, we're not sure what will... 'Flux' is released as a single through Wichita on 12th November 2007.
We gave "Flux" music video by Bloc Party a listen and yeah, we like it. Let's see if it will 'grow' on us. (October, 2007)
Remember: oldie but goodie. Like wine, some songs get better due time. Is this one of them or was it just a one-day wonder?
