Brian Setzer has delivered a kick-ass, straight-up, guitar, bass and drums rock record featuring unbelievable playing and solid songwriting. Fans of his prior work will be blown away by the versatility he demonstrates on this, his 13th album of original material. All 13 tracks have a unique feel, from the southern-influenced “Drugs & Alcohol (Bullet Holes)” to the classic-rock / new-wave sounding “Rocket Cathedrals” and the almost-metal “Back Streets of Tokyo.” A highlight is the guest appearance by Stray Cats drummer Slim Jim Phantom on “Really Rockabilly.” In support of “13,” Brian will embark on a 5-week U.S. tour in November/December, and continue with a 12-week North American run in 2007. Brian has sold over 12 million records throughout his 25-year career and “1” is sure to continue the lucky streak.
We gave "Back Streets of Tokyo" music video by Brian Setzer a listen and yeah, it's a nice song (October, 2006).
An oldie but didnot make it to 'goodie'. Apparantly not enough attention to make it to the top. A pity...
