Buckcherry have unleashed their first ever live album, Live & Loud 2009 today. The album features the band’s biggest hits like “Sorry” (#2 on Billboard’s Hot AC chart), “Crazy Bitch” (#3, Mainstream Rock), “Lit Up” (#1, Mainstream Rock), “Ridin’” (#9, Mainstream Rock), “Everything” (#5, Active Rock), and songs from the band’s current hit album Black Butterfly.
In putting the live album together culled from a week of Canadian shows this Spring, singer Josh Todd explains, “We are at our best at a live show so we wanted to capture what this band is all about live.” Guitarist Keith Nelson adds, ”We set out to give fans an accurate representation of a great night out at a Buckcherry show.”
In addition to Live & Loud 2009, a new enhanced edition of Black Butterfly was released on September 8th including “Highway Star,” the theme song for TNT’s NASCAR coverage as well as the super-sized video, which intercuts NASCAR footage with the band’s performance. Black Butterfly was released in September of last year and brought the band their first Top 10 album debut, landing at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart (the highest debuting rock album of the week). It has also earned the titles of Album of the Year by Entertainment Weekly and Best Rock Album by iTunes critics in 2008, has produced two multi-format rock hits with “Talk To Me” and “Rescue Me.”
After falling down, picking themselves back up again and having one of the most successful headlining arena rock tours of last fall/winter, Buckcherry is back stronger than ever and on tour with rock legends KISS.
