Carolina Liar released their debut album, "Coming To Terms," to solid reviews this past week. Strong radio play on nearly 70 modern rock and alternative stations around the country along with key television and movie placements (MTV's "The Hills," CW's "Gossip Girl," ABC's "Eli Stone" and 20th Century Fox's "What Happens In Vegas") helped drive first week sales including a 72% jump in the number of digital singles sold.

The Los Angeles-based band is currently touring with label mates Tally Hall and De Novo Dahl through early June. Carolina Liar will return to their hometown for a debut television performance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on June 12 and prepare for Canadian music festival gigs at the Calgary Virgin Festival on June 21 and the Vancouver-area Pemberton Festival on June 27. The band is also scheduled to appear on Spike TV's upcoming "Guys' Choice Awards" on June 22.

    press quotes
    Rolling Stone - ***
"Fusing the anthemic elements of U2 and the Killers with electro
production... 'Coming To Terms'... swings between soul-searching ballads
(the gospel-choir-backed 'Show Me What I'm Looking For') and spunky guitar
rave-ups ('I'm Not Over') with a sensitive guy outlook..."

    USA Today - ***
"Chad Wolf and his bandmates crank out tunes that are... almost always too
    infectious to resist entirely."

    People Magazine - ***
"You may have already heard this pop-rock band on 'The Hills,' which has
featured such tunes as 'Show Me What I'm Looking For' and the title cut.
More fodder for your summer soundtrack awaits on their debut."

    Philadelphia Daily News
"Carolina Liar works up a sweeping, cinematic rock sound."

    Houston Chronicle
"Lead singer Chad Wolf has a lush, emotive voice perfect for radio."

    biography
After nearly shattering the Los Angeles coffee house scene, Chad Wolf is finally finding the future that any singer/songwriter pine for: success. In his new outfit, Carolina Liar, Wolf's enjoying media attention with songs "Show Me What I'm Looking For" and "I'm Not Over," while feeling comfy at home with Atlantic Records. What's more, the band is also scheduled to appear at the inaugural Pemberton Festival (July 25-27th).

In his day-to-day dealings with members of LA's music community, there are two things singer Chad Wolf has heard repeatedly. One involves praise for his songwriting skills, which seem to effortlessly tow the line between infectious, delectable pop and a deeper, darker rock discourse. The other: disbelief. How did your classic struggling musician, who toiled away at coffeehouse gigs for most of his adult life, end up on the receiving end of a deal with a major label?

The story may seem far-fetched, some might even say too good to be true, but somewhere between accolades and accusations is honesty, which, contrary to what the name implies Carolina Liar is all about . Honest, infectious pop and honest, deep lyrics.

But now that he has the platform and support, Chad is giving Carolina Liar his all. "The biggest thing I learned from working with Max is to not let yourself get in the way of a song," Chad muses. "Let it do its thing and live on its own. It can speak very loudly."

Carolina Liar's first single "I'm Not Over" is already turning heads and impacts Alternative on April 22nd and their new album "Coming To Terms" will be released on May 20th.

The band consists of: Chad Wolfe, Erik Hääger, Johan Carlsson, Rickard Göransson, Jim Almgren Gandara, and Max Grahn.
