London based Cazals expose their futuristic guitar-dance-pop to the masses with their first full-length What Of Our Future. Released in the US through The Hours (March 09), the album features the heavily re-mixed single “Somebody, Somewhere”. Signed to French electronic music label Kitsune, home of, Simian Mobile Disco, Crystal Castles, and other such forward thinkers, Cazals have received praise as one of the most exciting British bands around.

London based Indie Quintet Cazals have built their reputation from the ground up, playing a series of incendiary live shows where NME described them as, 'Amazing! Streets ahead of their peers', and The Big Issue simply described Cazals as; 'One of the most exciting British bands.'

    Cazals

Discovered on myspace by Kitsune Records and championed by former Daft Punk manager Gildas Loaec, things soon began to pick up for these Shoreditch lads when the label, famous for catapulting the careers of both Klaxons and The Whip released their first single "Poor Innocent Boys" back in late 2007. Shortly thereafter, the band were contacted by Parisian born taste-maker, Beatrice Inn co-owner and internationally known night-life entrepreneur, Andre Saraiva (who also goes by the name Mister A, or Monsieur A), a well known graffiti artist, musician and clothing designer. Andre immediately swept them away into a Paris recording studio throughout 2008 where he began to co-produce their debut album (Julien Delfaud, the man who engineered Phoenix's debut album then mixed it) "What Of Our Future".

With tracks such as their Kitsune debut 'Poor Innocent Boys', the soon to be released 'Life if Boring" as well as the current hit single 'Somebody, Somewhere', it's clear this album is jam packed with indie rock anthems for many-a-teen-angst-ridden music lovers across the globe. But don't be fooled, for Cazals are anything but innocent and life has been far from boring since their humble beginnings when sharing the bill with friends such as Pete Doherty and good friends and fellow Brits Bloc Party back in the day on the East London circuit.

Shortly after signing their record deal, they were invited on the road to support none other than Daft Punk and have now gone on to sign an exclusive deal with the prestigious record and licensing label The Hours here in the US, who are set to release their debut album on February 24th 2009 and announce a slew of national tour dates through out the Spring of 2009.

    press quotes
After receiving massive praise in the blogosphere across the virtual universe, fresh from a slew of Daft Punk support slots as well as gaining immense success and attention across Europe and Japan, we give you Cazals, one of the most talked about British bands, finally making their way to the US this winter. These London boys will be releasing their debut album “What Of Our Future” early next year on new label The Hours.

“...one of the most forward thinking British guitar bands in Britain today” – Hamish McBain (NME)

These charming British lads: Phil (vocals), Luca (guitar), Martin (Bass/Producer), Warren (Drums) and Daniel (Guitar/Manager) have been among the driving forces behind the London music scene, as hosts of their own “Cazalised” party, guest bands would include Bloc Party, as well good friend and tour mate Pete Doherty. Having toured with Babyshambles and flying the British Indie rock flag across Europe, it’s now for time for Cazals to unleash their hooked filled rock club hits upon the US.

‘One of the most exciting British bands around’ - Big Issue

Cazals were the first non-electronic group to sign with label du jour Kitsune, ran by Daft Punk former manager Gildas Loaec. He signed the band after hearing their ode to teenage rebellion “Poor Innocent Boys”, then added the single on the infamous Kitsune Maison collection, which received critical acclaim, one thing led to another and next thing the boys were living in Paris, recording their highly anticipated debut. The result is the self produced pop masterpiece “What of Our Future”.

‘An amazing album of future-guitar-dance-pop’ - NME

'Arguably one of the most exciting bands in Britain at the moment...an almost perfect album' - Gigwise

“What of Our Future” opens with the anthemic ‘New Boy In Town’ – the perfect antidote to endless, faceless guitar bands. Before unfolding with ‘To Cut A Long Story Short’ and then the strutting guitar driven track of their new single smash ‘Somebody, Somewhere’, a potentially massive hit with a huge pogo-inducing chorus that stamps it’s authority all over the place. The centrepiece of the album sees the band at their most experimental with ‘Comfortable Silence’ a beautifully weird, wall of sound track that would have the likes of Phil Spector drooling. Along with the brilliant ‘Life Is Boring’, the French pop perfection of ‘We’re Just The Same’ and the razor sharp ‘Both Sides’ this is an album that is set to silence the critics and skyrocket the band into 2009.

'Visionary music mastery' - Clash Magazine
