Send to a FriendCharlie Wilson founding member/lead singer of The Gap Band and everyone’s favorite “Uncle” will release his debut album Charlie, Last Name Wilson on Jive Records on July 12, 2005. The self titled single will ship to radio on April 25.

Charlie Wilson’s album is being Executive Produced by R. Kelly. Additional producers/writers on the album include Scott Storch, Wil.I.Am, Justin Timberlake and Dre and Vidal. Charlie is currently in the studio finishing up on the album.
In addition to his album Charlie can be seen on Snoop Dog’s video for “Signs.” Charlie will be performing with Snoop on the Late Show with David Letterman on May 3.
