Producer, songwriter, break-dancer Chris Hines, CEO of Master Mind Entertainment, is set to release the long-awaited debut compilation album Chris Hines Presents: “Master Mind” on April 21, 2009. “Master Mind” is an innovative, fresh, and edgy album that showcases and displays Chris Hines’s ability as a producer, and embodies a broad range of musical styles from various artists including hard-edge rap, R&B, and hip hop, pop, and more. Chris Hines, 21 year-old Marketing Major of Howard University, executive produced, arranged, and co-wrote the entire 15+ tracks on the album. Hines states, “the industry needs something fresh, you need the fresh vibes, production involves knowledge and great chemistry.”
Hines exploded on the music scene with production credits on 2005’s R&B singer Brandon Hines’s “Love Music.” During the release of the CD, Hines received critical praise for his work on the overtly-sensual song sung by Brandon Hines titled “Lipstick.” Through his work with Brandon Hines, Chris Hines received many offers to showcase his production efforts on various works with such producers as Troy Taylor of Songbook Entertainment who has worked with Boyz II Men, B2K, and Trey Songz.
Joining Hines for the new album is an impressive all star cast of aspiring artists based out of Howard University, Washington D.C., and Detroit, MI areas. Included on the “Master Mind” track-list are songs from Ashaya Robinson, Anhayla, Rachel Robinson, Theo Hollingsworth, Broadway Miller, City, and many more. The edgy first single “Blowin Up My Celly” featuring NY rapper Profit, is a radio/club banger that best displays Hines ability as a producer of hip-hop music, mixing together an auto-tuned inspired chorus, along with addictive beat and horns, drawing from such influences like Timbaland, Pharrell of the Neptunes, and Kanye West.
