I think these guys could sing the phone book and it would be cool. Luckily, this is much better than your local yellow pages. Cody and crew have never been ones to conform to any label's idea of what they should be, and this song makes that point perfectly clear. The musicianship is stellar, as always, with Cody's hard driving guitar and Randy's pounding drums. These guys only get better and if this is the music they can make without any "help" from the Nashville machine, then I say get out of their way and let the CCR boys do their thing. We gave "Record Exec" music video by Cross Canadian Ragweed a listen and yeah, it's a nice song (June, 2008). An oldie but didnot make it to 'goodie'. Apparantly not enough attention to make it to the top. A pity...
