It has been three years since we heard from Andrez, Coree, Jade, Noel, and Russ, collectively known as Damage. Making the move from their previous label to EMI's cooltempo label they have taken time out since their last album to, as they put it 'find themselves'.

It has been three years since we heard from Andrez, Coree, Jade, Noel, and Russ, collectively known as Damage. Making the move from their previous label to EMI's cooltempo label they have taken time out since their last album to, as they put it "find themselves".

Working with numerous big name producers, Damage have found themselves and return from the wilderness with their sophomore album Since You've Been Gone.
The release of their first single from this album in June of last year marked Damage's return, and it did so showing them to have grown hugely as artists. They now seem to have complete control over their music, they are far more focused, and vocally they're sharper. They are also further involved in the writing of their music, and were in charge of the vocal arrangement of at least 7 of the songs from this album.

Damage have tried not to define their music into a single category, and in doing so have moved away from the obvious, stopping themselves from being pigeon-holed. They are neither a standard boyband, nor the atypical British R&B act trying to imitate the acts from the US. Working with producers like Dave 'Jam' Hall and Gordon Chambers ('Still Be Loving You') who have previously worked with Jodeci, and Mary J. Blige. Aswell as Tim Kelly and Bob Robinson ('Ghetto Romance') who have produced for TLC, and Sisqo they have released a more mature album managing to keep their own style.

Other than 'Rumours' and 'Ghetto Romance' there are other songs to be enjoyed on this album, these include the title track 'Since You've Been Gone', 'Still Be Loving You'. And a track written by Artful Dodger vocalist Michelle Escoffery and featuring band member Jade's long time girlfriend and spice girl Emma Bunton, entitled 'I Don't Know'.

Damage's self imposed exile is broken with this album and their break from us allows them to deliver an album that can only lead to bigger better thing for these young guys from London.
