Division Day are treating us to a new exclusive cover song or remix EVERY TUESDAY for 8 weeks to celebrate their debut album Beartrap Island hitting iTunes on September 18th and shelves on October 2nd. The first offering is the band's take on Sunny Day Real Estate's "Every Shining Time You Arrive." SDRE's original version appeared on their 1998 reunion album How It Feels To Be Something On. Division Day transform the song into a drumless rumination on love lost. It's a delicate number with soft vocals combined with the twinkle of a children's piano and otherworldly synths.

We gave "Every Shining Time You Arrive" music video by Division Day a listen and yeah, we like it. Let's see if it will 'grow' on us. (September, 2007) Ahh look a song which should have received more attention. A pity...
