DJ Krush 'Shinsou: The Message At The Depth' album

Gifted producer & DJ with a superb sense in Mixing and composing his sound who's been well-received in the International club scene. It was the movie "WILD STYLE" that got him into Hiphop in the early 80's, and in1987, he formed KRUSH POSSSE which made Numerous appearances in various media as the best hiphop act in japan. KRUSH began pursueing his solo career after the break-up of the group in Late 1992, and soon grabbed people's attention as the first DJ to use Turntables as live instruments such as doing free sessions with live Musicians on stage.

*The Album Concept
KRUSH: "In the society we live in today, it is hard to tell the difference between truth and lies. Since recording my last album "Zen", the world we live in has changed dramatically. It has made me think: what is "truth" to each of us in this world? Is there a one all-encompassing "truth" or is "truth" different from one's point of view. This is the concept I wanted to pursue for this new album. So these songs are made with the deep truths of each artist. Basically, I realized in the end, each person has to make his or her own choices/beliefs. Who ever said that the things we see on the T.V. news is real, anyway?"

With heavy praise from club scenes worldwide, Krush proves his outstanding sense of mixing and innate ability for sound production. He is featured in various leading music press as being "the godfather of trip-hop/abstract hip-hop."

The strong impact from seeing the movie "Wild Style" released in the early 1980?s was the source of Krush?s interest in Hip Hop. In 1987, KRUSH POSSE was formed. The proficient Hip Hop team represented Japan's Hip Hop to the world. In September of 1992, after the break up of the group, Krush vigorously began his solo career. From the start, he demonstrated his superb sense and skills in bringing out the best from his turntables and mixers. He also is known for his collaborations that still maintain his own distinctive style transcending barriers of musical genre and nationalities.

January of 1994, "Strictly Turntablized" the first album was released. By January of 2001, Krush had released 6 solo albums as Producer, Remixer, and as a DJ. Contributing to the production of sounds for movies, TV shows, commercials and engaging in jam sessions with artists of all genres, Krush is broadening his music activity. Krush has collaborated with a vast array of artists: Guru from Gang Starr, C.L. Smooth, Shawn J. Period, Mos Def, The Roots, Company Flow, Zapp Mama, Kazufumi Kodama, Ryuichi Sakamoto, N'dea Davenport, Tunde Ayanyami, DJ Shadow just to name a few, In unison with the coming of the 21st century, Krush participated in the "JAG Project". Along with original members, DJ SPOOKY, THAT SUBLIMINAL KID, DJ DISK , DJ HIDE , DJ SAK & OKITA JUN, this project uses the power of expression to bring attention to the many problems of the world.
