Fall Out Boy extra information
Multi-platinum three-time MTV VMA-winning Island Records group Fall Out Boy have officially announced their upcoming new third Island album Folie A Deux, to be released on November 4th 2008. The band told a packed audience about the release at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, when they headlined the "Rock the Vote Ballot Bash." Folie A Deux was produced by Neal Avron at The Pass Studios in Los Angeles. The first single "I Don't Care" is impacting Alternative on Septembert 16th.

For Folie A Deux, Fall Out Boy spearheaded a politically charged group that unveiled cryptic "Big Brother" type messages in order to support and ignite a democratic process. Impressively, the creative album roll-out garnered over 1 Million impressions in just one week online across literally hundreds of websites, Live journal communities and many other popular music websites, including the band's own site, www.falloutboyrock.com. "This roll-out was started to engage people and let them tell their own stories. We came up with the beginning and the end, while the rest happened organically." says FOB bass player Pete Wentz.

Fall Out Boy's cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" has been nominated for Best Rock Video at this year's 25th annual MTV VMAs. The worldwide cablecast takes place live from Paramount Studios in Hollywood, on September 7th.

Since their first major market headlining North American arena tour in spring 2006, Chicago's Fall Out Boy, Patrick Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Troh man (guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums) have appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender, and Alternative Press and have performed on NBC's The Today Show, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CBS's The Late Show with David Letterman, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live and more.
Shiny Toy Guns

Carah Faye, the charismatic female lead of indie rock band Shiny Toy Guns, recently left the band to pursue other musical projects. She has been replaced by Sisely Treasure, a former contestant on the show The Pussycat Dolls Present: Search for the Next Doll. Treasure's vocals will be featured on the band's upcoming album, Season of Poison, which is scheduled for release on November 4th.

They might call Los Angeles home, but the four members of indie/rock/electronica band Shiny Toy Guns have been perpetually on tour since merging their sonic powers in 2002. "It's really hard, but at the same time we have a goal, and we're working towards that goal. It will always be worth it," explains Chad Petree who along with Jeremy Dawson on synthesizers and Mikey Martin on drums round out the quartet.

With the help of Universal Motown Records in the U.S. and Mercury Records in the U.K., the love of Shiny Toy Guns is spreading. As Petree explains, "We've always had a vision of what we wanted to do, and now we can do it on a larger scale and with more force behind us."

Their sound, according to Dawson, can be described as "future forward rock." Petree elaborates, "It's just basically the combination, or summation, of rock and electronic music but trying to tastefully blend the two together with our own style. The aesthetics of the band are definitely important to us."

With the music, art, and downright dancing fun, Shiny Toy Guns are an all-around must see band. Their energy and charisma and their love for the music and art, hold them in high regards to many critics.Their songs have been featured on Grand Theft Auto III, America's Next Top Model, and The L Word, proving that this band is loved by all different types of people in all different types of places. They are currently touring in promotion of their album, so look for them in a city near you.

The single, "Ricochet" impacts Alternative on September 2nd.
