Family Guy 'Live in Las Vegas' album

Normally, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but when TV's favorite dysfunctional cartoon family comes to Sin City, the results are too hilarious to keep quiet.

Peter Griffin, wife Lois, kids Meg, Chris and baby Stewie and dog Brian will all be there when Geffen Records releases FAMILY GUY LIVE IN LAS VEGAS, a new CD of classic and original songs plus DVD bonus content. The package, which features the Griffin family along with guest stars like Jason Alexander, Patti LuPone, Haylie Duff and Adam West, arrives in stores April 26, while the perennially popular TV show returns to FOX with brand new episodes on Sunday, May 1st (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT).

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, together with composer Walter Murphy, co-produced the CD as well as co-wrote several tracks. All of the actors from the show appear on the album, including Seth MacFarlane (Peter, Brian, Stewie, Quagmire and Tom Tucker), Alex Borstein (Lois), Mila Kunis (Meg), and Seth Green (Chris). As a bonus, also included is DVD content featuring a music video of "Stewie's Sexy Party," plus, a behind the scenes look at the making of the album and the video, as well as a trailer for the upcoming season of "Family Guy" and MacFarlane's new animated series "American Dad."

In liner notes included on the hilarious and irreverent booklet, MacFarlane describes the music as, "a blend of the rich, lush arrangements of the classic era of Rat Pack Vegas shows combined with the fart jokes of today." Original songs include the "Theme from 'Family Guy'," "Babysitting is a Bum Deal," "But Then I Met You," "Puberty's Gonna Get You," "But I'm Yours," "Quahog Holiday," "Dear Booze," which describes Brian's love of all things alcoholic and "All Cartoons are F**kin' Dicks," a subversive look at cartoon characters when the cameras are turned off. Covers include Jerome Kern's "The Last Time I Saw Paris" and a medley of theme songs from TV shows like "Diff'rent Strokes," "Who's The Boss," "Growing Pains," and "Charles in Charge," to name a few.

Since its debut in 1999, the Emmy-nominated FAMILY GUY has attracted a loyal following of fans and has sold 3 million combined DVD units, making it the fourth-largest TV series seller ever. The show's success on DVD, combined with ratings records it set on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block, has prompted FOX to bring back the show for a fourth season on the network.

MacFarlane will continue to serve up the outrageous trials and tribulations of PETER GRIFFIN and his not-quite-so-average family of middle-class New Englanders. LOIS is Peter's loving wife, who struggles to maintain a modicum of normalcy in their home life. Then there are their kids: angst-ridden, 16-year-old MEG, who only really wants to be noticed; 13-year-old CHRIS, a sweet-natured slacker; and 1-year-old STEWIE, a diabolically clever baby bent on world domination. Rounding out the Griffin household is BRIAN, the brainy family dog who likes his martinis as dry as his dog food.

SETH MacFARLANE

Easily one of the youngest people ever to create a television series, Seth MacFarlane began his career studying animation and design at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he created the animated short film "The Life of Larry." Impressed with the short, executives at Hanna-Barbera encouraged MacFarlane to move to Los Angeles in 1995 to create and direct a short film for them. After moving to L.A., he went on to work on numerous animated series, including "Ace Ventura," "Jungle Cubs" and "Johnny Bravo."

MacFarlane's big break came when the producers of MADtv discovered "The Life of Larry" and approached him to air it as four short segments. Although that deal fell apart, executives at FOX recognized his talent and gave him a shot to create a primetime animated series of his own. Over the next six months, MacFarlane created, animated, wrote, directed and provided all the main male characters' voices for what became FAMILY GUY. Utilizing all his contacts, friends and resources to produce the seven-minute short, he delivered it in May of 1998 and it was picked up just weeks later. In 2000, MacFarlane received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his role as Stewie Griffin, and FAMILY GUY garnered a nomination for Outstanding Animated Program. MacFarlane went on to receive another Emmy in 2002 for Outstanding Music and Lyrics for FAMILY GUY.

MacFarlane is the creator/executive producer on the upcoming FOX animated series AMERICAN DAD. In addition, he provides the voices for Stan Smith and Roger the Alien on the show. His additional television credits include serving as consulting producer on “The Pitts” and a guest starring role on “Gilmore Girls.” MacFarlane also wrote and directed the upcoming animated feature “Party Animals” for 20th Century Fox.

Born and raised in Connecticut, MacFarlane lives in Los Angeles.

ALEX BORSTEIN
(Voice of Lois Griffin on FAMILY GUY)
Best known for her wildly popular character “Ms. Swan” on MADtv, Alex Borstein most recently starred opposite Halle Berry in the feature film “Catwoman.” In addition to providing the voice of Lois on FAMILY GUY, she also serves as a writer/producer on the show.
Borstein is no stranger to the film world. In addition to “Catwoman,” she has appeared in various motion pictures, including “The Lizzie McGuire Movie,” “Coyote Ugly,” “Showtime,” “Bad Boys” and “Bad Santa.”
Originally from Chicago, Borstein moved to Los Angeles with her family in 1980. She graduated from San Francisco State University, where she earned a degree in communications. She started performing improvisation while in San Francisco and later joined the ACME Comedy Theatre in Los Angeles. She continues to tour the country in her critically heralded one-woman stand-up show and most recently brought her act to L.A.’s Alex Theatre.
Borstein is short and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Jackson.

SETH GREEN
(Voice of Chris Griffin on FAMILY GUY)

Seth Green has spent the past 22 years working consistently in both television and film. He was named “Best TV Actor” by Entertainment Weekly and E! Entertainment Television.

He began his 20-year acting career in film, television and stage at a young age and his first film assignment was co-starring in “Hotel New Hampshire,” followed by a lead in Woody Allen’s “Radio Days” four years later. Green currently stars in the film “Without A Paddle” and his additional feature credits include roles in “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed,” ”The Italian Job,” “Party Monster,” “Knockaround Guys,” “Can’t Hardly Wait,” “America’s Sweethearts,” “Rat Race,” “Enemy of the State” and all three “Austin Powers” movies.

Green starred in the critically acclaimed series “Greg the Bunny” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” His additional television credits include regular roles in “Good and Evil,” “The Byrds of Paradise” and “Temporarily Yours.” In 2001, Green and partner Matthew Senreich debuted their series “Sweet J Presents” on Sony’s Screenblast. The duo created and executive-produced 12 webisodes utilizing stop-motion photography and are working in the same capacity on a new series for the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim lineup. He also had a recurring role on THAT ‘70s SHOW.

Green is taller than Alex Borstein and lives in Los Angeles.

MILA KUNIS
(Voice of Meg Griffin on FAMILY GUY)

Born in Kiev in the Ukraine, Mila Kunis moved to Los Angeles with her parents and older brother when she was 7 years old. After learning to speak English, she enrolled in acting classes and was soon discovered by her manager while performing at a showcase. It wasn’t long before Kunis began landing numerous commercials, and she has since gone on to build a strong resume in both feature films and television.

She recently wrapped production on the feature film “Tom 51.” Her additional feature film credits include roles in “American Psycho II,” “Get Over It,” “Krippendorf's Tribe,” “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves,” “Knockout Kid,” “Santa With Muscles,” “Piranha" and “Make a Wish, Molly.”

She currently portrays Jackie Burkhardt on the hit FOX series THAT ‘70s SHOW. She also starred as young Gia Carangi in the critically acclaimed cable movie “Gia.” Her additional television credits include recurring roles on “7th Heaven” and “Nick Freno,” as well as guest-starring appearances on “Grounded for Life”, “Baywatch,” “Days of Our Lives,” “The John Larroquette Show,” “Unhappily Ever After,” “Walker, Texas Ranger,” “Moloney,” “Pensacola: Wings of Gold” and “Hudson Street.”

Kunis has received two Young Star Awards for Best Young Actress Performance in a Comedy Series for her role as Jackie on THAT ‘70s SHOW. Additionally, she earned a Young Hollywood Award from Movieline Magazine for the One to Watch.

Kunis lives in Los Angeles.
