"Making this album was a real adventure. I met a guy with a cool little garage studio in west LA (red rockets glare). The place was packed with instruments and vintage gear; I tried to use it all. I also really lucked out with Dan Long, the engineer that was hanging around. We hit it off sonically and ended up making the whole record together. With new resources available, it was very fulfilling to explore the kind of instrumentation that some of these songs were calling for. I am pretty dang pleased with it." -- Ferraby Lionheart
In addition to preparing for his album release, Ferraby will kick off the summer by touring with Mason Jennings beginning June 1st in Boulder (full list of tour dates below).
Ferraby Lionheart won the hearts of critics and fans with his self-titled EP, an effortless blend of classic pop, folk and country that he recorded in his Silverlake apartment and released last summer. After joining Nettwerk in February 2007, the EP was digitally released and Ferraby embarked on his first national tour with The Autumn Defense and The Walkmen. His live show often switches between a full band and simple solo acoustic, drawing praise from the LA Times, "Silverlake folkie is already gaining an audience for his all-nerves-exposed pop songs," and Rolling Stone, "tasteful harmonica, poppy piano riffs and catchy melodies make Ferraby Lionheart a name to remember."
