Footsoldiers 'Live This' album

The concept of the Foot Soldiers was birthed in the revelation that the next generation of Hip Hop is currently teaching you’re sons 9th grade social studies class or processing your home loan. It is very much a possibility that the next great legendary figure in our culture is sitting next to you waiting to pick up their son from daycare. They are working family men, they are hustlers they are carpenters...by day...but after work, they transform into the ruling Samurais of their respective circles of influence. At this point that influence may only be over a city or a region, a following via the internet and local concerts but make no mistake that destiny is being fulfilled, the stars are being aligned and on January of 2006 the world will be introduced to this massive force.

Start with five men: First, A loan officer who’s been on his own since 16, self taught from running the streets to slanging real estate. As for rhyme skills, come to So Cal and just mention his name and see what happens. He is a foot soldier...

TRIUNE Next, the son of a black panther, graffiti artist now a high school teacher in one of the poorest cities in California. He works in the trenches giving hope to the hopeless. He is a foot soldier...PROPAGANDA Then we have a street fighter, jersey born soldier, with a vast knowledge of weapons. One of 19 children, trained by his father in hand to hand combat. A carpenter by day, raising his three kids. He is a foot soldier…

ISHUES Now a street hustler, there’s a little bit of him in all of us and if not… there should be. He does what it takes to survive and to provide for his family all the while pursuing the dream of every true artist which is to be heard and to be felt. He is a foot soldier…

RANDOM Finally there is a pure emcee. Complex in more ways than one, from a long list of near death experiences to the most clever of rhyme schemes yet pure nonetheless. By age 16 he was traveling the country slangin tapes out of his MPV as one of the Original members of the LA based family the Tunnel Rats, today he is widely respected not only for his mic skills but for his ability to record and engineer the lowest budget recording and make it sound like a million dollar project. He is a foot soldier…

RAPHI a.k.a. BIG SHAME Not mention allies, other soldiers from all over the country who were recruited to become a part of this movement. All from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds with one thing in common... An all purpose and burning desire to be the best.

Let me further explain – the men mentioned above are the first of many to come. They are too big to be confined into what others would so readily want to label a “Group”. They are the personification of strength, passion and dedication. They represent a heart and a willingness to work until the work is complete. There are Foot Soldiers in every city of every country in this world…students, social workers, community activists, graphic designers, hustlers and preachers all with the gift to articulate the joy and pain the struggle and success of life. In the October 2006 release of the “Foot Soldiers” you will experience Hip-Hop in it’s purest form with honesty, anger, frustration, creativity, and straight up raw emotion, but don’t get it twisted as it has been so eloquently stated by the mastermind behind the Foot Soldiers Dax Reynosa “Don’t feel it – LIVE it”.
