"One," the second single from G&D's The Message Uni Versa, packs more soul than a sock with a hole⦠and an afro pick wedged into the hole. The artists formerly and still-elsewhererly known as Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dudley Perkins are not fond of the separation all around us; and thus, they cordially invite you to "take a trip on the One." Perkins sets things off with his patented, verb-defying rap delivery over quirky organs and a hopping bass, courtesy of Muldrow. Muldrow is also featured on the track vocally, of course, questioning, "Why must our children suffer for another full grown man's convenient life style?" The answer G&D proposes is twofold: 1) we must realize that we're all connected to one another and 2) "funk in your ear hole."
We heard some good stories about "One" music video by G and D and yeah, we like it.
This joint have received some well deserved attention but didnot make it to the top. A pity...
