On Tuesday, September 27, 2005 GRP Records will release The Best of George Benson Live, a collection of some of the great George Benson’s most popular songs. The 10 tunes, which feature Benson, his band, and special guests including Joe Sample, were recorded live at Belfast, Ireland’s Waterfront Hall in 2000.

Eight-time GRAMMY® winner Benson has been delighting live audiences worldwide for decades. The energetic delivery of his unique blend of pop, R&B, and jazz, along with his inimitable voice and guitar mastery, consistently amazes fans and leaves them standing and shouting for more.

The Best of George Benson Live features Benson backed by his stellar band of Michael O’Neill (guitar and vocals), Dio Saucedo (percussion and vocals), Stanley Banks (bass), David Witham (musical director and piano), Thom Hall (keyboards), and Michael White (drums). At this concert, they were joined by the one-and-only Joe Sample as well as the BBC Big Band and musicians from the Ulster Orchestra.
