MCA/Nashville star and Country Music Hall of Famer George Strait has announced plans to release a new Christmas album. Classic Christmas will hit the stores on Tuesday, October 7th and features 10 traditional holiday tunes.

Included on the new project will be "We Three Kings," "Up On The Housetop," "Deck The Halls," "O Come, All Ye Faithful" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Each of these holiday classics will be given the Strait treatment as King George adds his own flair to each one.

When asked why he chose to do all traditional songs, George said, "I wanted to put together a collection of my favorite traditional Christmas songs that I grew up listening to. It was hard to narrow it down to ten of them, but I think I've done it. I hope these songs bring back good memories for my fans like they have for me."
