As a trio with a brassy front-woman the comparisons are sure to come aplenty, but San Diego's Grand Ole Party are forging their own place in rock 'n' roll with their unique mix of garage-blues, rock and raw energy. They recorded their debut album, Humanimals, in March 2007 with Blake Sennett (Rilo Kiley, The Elected) over a five-day stretch of live recording to capture the stripped-down power that embodies the Grand Ole Party sound.
