Latest signings to The Echo Label, I Am Kloot are set to release their, eponymously titled, second album on the 15th September. 'I Am Kloot' features 12 brilliant new tracks and is the eagerly awaited follow up to the Manchester trio's stunning debut album 'Natural History' from 2001.

Too many highlights to mention, it includes the recent limited edition 7" release 'Untitled #1' and forthcoming single 'Life In A Day" released on the 2nd of June. The new album, recorded with producer Chris Potter and the I Am Kloot line up of Johnny Bramwell: voice and guitar; bassist: Peter Jobson and drummer Andrew Hargreaves, is as original and imaginative as you're likely to hear this year.

I Am Kloot formed in Manchester nearly four years ago and made their live debut at the city's Night and Day venue in the summer of 1999. After a handful of live shows, which were attracting the attention of locals and critics alike, they were quickly snapped up by Manchester's Ugly Man label who released their debut 7" single 'Titanic' / ' To You' in November of that year. The band were now playing regular live dates in London and already many were tipping the group as ones to watch for 2000. They released a second single '86 TV's' / 'Twist' on Valentines Day 2000 and soon after the band signed to Wall Of Sound's new offshoot We Love You, after featuring on the label's 'We Love You...So Love Us' compilation. A string of brilliant singles, including 'Morning Rain' and 'Dark Star', followed and in March 2001 they released their debut album 'Natural History'. Critically recognised as one of the finest debut albums of the year, it more than confirmed their early promise as one of the best new bands around. Constant touring, with a live show that is both unsettling and engaging, saw the group attract widespread acclaim in the U.K. and across Europe. The debut single 'To You' featured on 'Rough Trade's 'Best Of 25 Years' anniversary compilation and I Am Kloot ended the year with a triumphant sold out date at London's Scala.

Signing to The Echo Label in 2002, I Am Kloot have returned in 2003 with a collection of new songs of the like they've so far only threatened. Combining Johnny Bramwell's twisted tales of love found (and always lost) with dark, yet perfect, pop melodies. 'I Am Kloot' is without doubt their most ambitious recording to date and further proof, that right now, there is no one around quite like them.
