2008 has been an incredible year for JUNKIE XL (aka Tom Holkenborg). Since the release of Booming Back At You (Artwerk Music), his fifth studio album earlier this year, the Venice, CA-based producer, composer and performer has appeared at Ultra Music Festival, SXSW, Coachella and Pemberton; graced the covers of Electronic Musician, DJ Times and LA City Beat; and now has been nominated for his first GRAMMY® Award.
The dance floor maven was selected in the “Best Remixed Recording (Non-Classical)” category for his Junkie XL remix of Madonna featuring Justin Timberlake’s “4 Minutes.” The song appeared on her chart-topping album Hard Candy. His ‘Junkie XL dirty dub’ appears on the “4 Minutes” single package.
