18 year-old Jeannie Ortega is gearing up to drop her debut effort, No Place Like Brooklyn, on Hollywood Records. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jeannie has been writing songs since she was 8-years-old, and wrote 11 out of the 12 songs on her album. Her talents were first featured on the soundtrack to "Love Don't Cost a Thing."

Her single, "So Done," was produced by Soul Shock & Karlin, the production duo who have been behind hits for Whitney Houston, Monica, JoJo and American Idol Fantasia. "It's R Time" features guest appearances by Gemstar and Big Mato.
