Country artist John Michael Montgomery is back on the music scene, releasing his first album on his own new independent label, Stringtown Records. The 11-song collection is called Time Flies, and it will hit stores October 14th.
According to Montgomery, the album was named as sort of a retrospective look at his career over the years. He said, "I took different themes from different eras over my career along with sounds that influenced me over my life to create this album. There are serious songs, some with tongue-in-cheek humor, a little romance as well as some that reflect a philosophical side. You'll hear influences from the Eagles to Lionel Richie to traditional Country."
Stringtown Records will kick off the pre-sale of the album on September 1st on www.johnmichael.com. Fans that purchase the album during the following eight weeks will be entered into a contest with the winner receiving an autographed JMM guitar, a photo album filled with performance photos, a pair of Don Post boots and a Wrangler gift certificate for a free pair of jeans.
Fans can catch John Michael on GAC-TV throughout the month of October on several shows like "GAC Nights," "The Collection," "Master Series" and "On The Streets." Check out www.gactv.com for airdates and times. He will also appear in the November 3rd issue of Country Weekly for an exclusive interview.
