Jonathan Emile is a 23 year old poet / rapper / producer / composer from the Montreal urban underground. His viral videos on YouTube have garnered over two million hits.

In addition to a vibrant indie rock scene, Montreal is a hotbed of rap/reggae/dance and related worldbeat culture. To date, Jonathan Emile has already performed in front of 100,000 and that number will rise considerably as he prepares for North American touring in support of this EP.

A cancer survivor, Jonathan has pulled together experiences of his struggle to share a positive message through the elements of mind, peace, and love.

Jonathan began rapping at 14; mentored by poet-trumpeter Jason “Blackbird” Selman at The Black Theatre Workshop; and is heavily involved with community youth organizations.

This specially priced 7-song EP comes with a full color 8 page booklet with the Jonathan Emile story; his battle with cancer and the inspiration for his rap, reggae and neo-soul.

Jonathan’s success has come about as a result of a lot of work via old school mixtapes, social networks, viral videos, and constant performance. He is also the featured vocalist with Bongo Beat acid jazz collective, The Franco Proietti Morph-tet.
