Kid Rock On Tour For Local Charities
Kid Rock is putting his money where his mouth is. After his fantastic single 'Care' he announces an ambitious and most profound tour to raise money. Using his own Kid Rock Foundation he will try to help local charities, causes and individuals on every tour stop. Naturally he is given a helping hand by (local) radio stations, who will determine the ones in need, and Detroit businesses and other individuals who will contribute.

Some of the Detroit businesses and individuals to contribute include: Compuware Corporation, The Suburban Collection, Quicken Loans Inc., Fathead, The Detroit Pistons, Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Jr., Holly and Tom Gores, Catherine and Nathan Forbes, Gretchen and Ethan Davidson.
Kid Rock came up with the idea for this tour to coincide with the launch of his new single "Care," from his critically acclaimed platinum-selling 2010 album "Born Free." Says Kid Rock, "The song says 'the least that I can do is Care' - and I want to put my money where my mouth is. Everyone knows that Detroit is hurting. But I want to show that even though we don't have a lot on our own plate, it doesn't mean the people of my hometown don't have compassion to share with others all over the country. At the end of the day we're all Detroit, we're one country, one family".
Kid Rock will be backed by the one-of-a-kind Twisted Brown Trucker Band, his constant companions for many years on the road. Ty Stone will be support on all dates. Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 10 am on Saturday the 15th of October.
