LA COKA NOSTRA is proud to announce a July 14 release date for their debut full-length album, A Brand You Can Trust. This is the group’s first release on Suburban Noize Records. LCN features Mr. White (Everlast, House of Pain), DJ Lethal (House of Pain, Limp Bizkit), Danny Boy (House of Pain), ILL BILL (Non Phixion), and Slaine (Special Teamz). The album features special appearances from no less than Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Bun B, Psycho Realm, Immortal Technique, Q-Unique & the Alchemist!
LCN MC Slaine commented on the upcoming release: “When we first started recording tracks for La Coka, we knocked a lot of joints out at once, and there was a lot of hype and buzz around the project and the group. We started leaking those tracks to feed the hunger that was out there, but in the meantime, I think we raised the bar and created an expectation level within the group to really make a dope record. While we were on the Bring Tha Noize tour, I had the headphones on and listened to the final version of the album sequenced, mixed and mastered, and bugged out at how good it is. This shit bangs. We set out to make a boom bap hip hop record, and we did that, but to stop there would be selling it short, because lyrically, musically, and sonically this album doesn't fit in a box. This summer the world will finally hear what the fuck is really going on with La Coka Nostra.”
Following several European tour dates this July, LA COKA NOSTRA will be making several appearances at this summer’s Rock The Bells tour, which features Nas, Damien Marley, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Common, Big Boi, KRS-One, House of Pain, Tech N9ne, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, and more!
“La Coka Nostra pride ourselves on the quality of our music & our brand in much the same way Guerilla Union does with their annual "Rock The Bells" festival series,” added ILL BILL. “We are honored to be a part of this year's festivities and look forward to spending the summer rocking alongside Hip Hop's latest & greatest talents.”

La Coka Nostra 'The Audacity of Coke' mixtape
Hip hop hybrid LA COKA NOSTRA releases The Audacity of Coke mixtape in advance of the July 14 street date of their upcoming album, A Brand You Can Trust. The Audacity of Coke mixtape is available today and features new exclusive LCN music along with guest appearances from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Bun B, Raekwon, U-God, B-Real, Crooked I, Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, Jaysaun of Special Teamz, Skam2? and more.
LCN’s Slaine comments on the mixtape: “We know that La Coka fans have been fiendin’ for the album ever since we got together a few years back. So a few weeks back we said fuck it...lets drop a mixtape too. It has an old-fashioned mixtape feel to it and is much different than the album. We got some friends of ours rockin on the shit with us. Statik Selektah and DJ Eclipse put it together, who are most definitely two of the best in the business. When it rains it pours. Let the reign begin. Hardcore hip hop music is back.”
Fans can pre-order LA COKA NOSTRA’s A Brand You Can Trust NOW at www.subnoizestore.com along with an LCN t-shirt and bandana. The album can also be pre-ordered via iTunes at this link: http://tr.im/pukK.
ILL BILL (aka The Cult Leader) says, “Usually, artists leak a two-song single or a couple of freestyles as a teaser right before their album drops. Our fans deserve more than that. That's why we decided to give them ‘The Audacity Of Coke’. Thanks for the support ya'll! Enjoy.”
extra La Coka Nostra information
La Coka Nostra have officially signed with Suburban Noize Records for the release of their upcoming debut “A Brand You Can Trust”, which will be released through the label in early 2009. The group will embark on the Bring Tha Noize Tour alongside Kottonmouth Kings, Blaze Ya’ Dead Homie, Big B, Potluck and Short Dawg beginning in late February through early April.
"It's official! La Coka Nostra has joined forces with Suburban Noize to bring you our debut album, ‘A Brand You Can Trust’. We are very excited to be working with Kevin Zinger and the entire Sub Noize family and look forward to finally unleashing the LCN war machine upon the current candy-coated, watered-down and auto tuned-out musical landscape that popular rap music has become,” says La Coka Nostra’s ILL BILL aka the Cult Leader.
“This record is a no holds barred burst of hardcore hip hop to the fullest, representing everything we love about this art form but feel is missing from the game right now. To show you we're not alone in our thinking we're bringing Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Bun B, Psycho Realm, Immortal Technique & the Alchemist along for the ride. We know a lot of ya'll feel the same way we do, so we're using our voice to speak for those that may not have this opportunity. That's why La Coka Nostra is ‘A Brand You Can Trust’. Album in stores first quarter 2009!”
Maybe once in a musical era’s lifetime does a revolutionary collision occur at the four-way intersection of underground, old school, new, and mainstream. Such an anomaly has finally materialized within a hip-hop world that has – for all intent and purpose – otherwise been tapped out. Founded on a new breed of rappers, but further injecting the mix with iconic veterans of the game the result is LA COKA NOSTRA.
Composed of members Ill Bill, Slaine, Everlast, DannyBoy, Dj Lethal and Big Left, La Coka Nostra is a breath of fresh air in these days of contrived airbrushed rap music.
