The first single, United States of Whatever leaked its way onto radio request charts when enterprising fans burned it from a commercial import out of the UK, where it was a Top 10 hit in December. Now, United States of Whatever is the #1 Most Requested song at LA's KROQ, and stations nationwide are quickly catching on.

There's no doubt that Liam Lynch's uncanny hilarity will soon turn this comedic genius into an unlikely rock star.
Liam Lynch fan, Ringo Starr makes guest appearances on songs "Cuz You Do", and "Try Me". Liam was brought to S-Curve Records' attention by Ringo and Mark Hudson, his partner at Punkinhead Records, who have signed a production deal with Liam. Also, on Fake Songs, long-time friend Jack Black sings "Rock and Roll Whore!"
Fake Songs will also feature a separate bonus DVD containing the video for United States of Whatever, additional video clips, and comedy highlights from brand new pieces of Liam's body of work.
"What is perhaps most intriguing about Liam Lynch," noted S-Curve Records President Steve Greenberg, "is that he is an authentic audio-visual artist. The DVD component of Fake Songs, which is nearly two hours long and remarkably innovative, is as important a part of the project as the companion full-length album. I think people are going to be really excited by each of the discs."
A true Renaissance artist, Liam Lynch was among 40 musicians chosen to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts founded by Paul McCartney. He was one of only five musicians hand picked by Paul to work on a one-to-one basis. Also known as the creator, co-writer, musician, actor, director, and executive producer of MTV's cult-hit, "Sifl and Olly," Lynch has directed videos for artists like Tenacious D and Foo Fighters. He is currently writing and directing the new Tenacious D full-length feature for Ben Stiller's production company.
