At just under ten minutes in length, Midnight Surprise is the beautifully epic second single from Lightspeed Champion and a taste of what forthcoming 2008 debut LP, Falling Off The Lavender Bridge, will offer. With humorous references to his own stage name, the popular video game The Legend Of Zelda and to sexual frustration, Midnight Surprise is a dreamlike hook-laden tale in 3 parts. Two versions of the video have been made; a ten minute as well as a three minute condensed version, featuring a boy and a girl in love and entwined in their dreams.

We gave "Midnight Surprise" music video by Lightspeed Champion a listen and yeah, we like it. Let's see if it will 'grow' on us. (September, 2007) Ahh look a song which should have received more attention. A pity...
