Marianne Faithfull's Biography

Iconic British songstress Marianne Faithfull marks the release of her 22nd album with Easy Come, Easy Go. Produced by longtime collaborator Hal Willner, the album was recorded in December 2007 at the famous Sear Sound recording studio in New York City. Several special guest appearances from her rock-n-roll brethren including; Nick Cave, Chan Marshall of Cat Power, Sean Lennon, Keith Richards, Rufus Wainwright to name a few make this album a “must have” for any music lover. Faithfull will delight fans in New York City as she performs selections from her new album at the City Winery on March 27th and March 28th at 9PM. Easy Come, Easy Go will be in stores March 17th on Decca.

Easy Come, Easy Go the third album of Marianne’s to be produced by Hal Willner (the others being Strange Weather in 1987 and Blazing Away in 1990). Marianne and Hal have been close friends since they met in 1982 and have worked together on many different projects over the years. Most recently they collaborated on three songs from the acclaimed 2004 release Before the Poison; but, Easy Come, Easy Go was their first complete studio album since Strange Weather, more than 25 years ago. Strange Weather was quickly regarded as one of the finest albums of her vast career, making this recording challenging for both Marianne and Hal.
