Metallica to release Death Magnetic

Metallica have announced that they will hit the road for their first proper tour of the United States and Canada in four years beginning October 21st in Glendale, AZ. The first leg of the tour will cross North America through fall and early winter and finish up on January 31st in Newark, NJ. Support bands are Down, Lamb of God, Machine Head and The Sword.

Metallica is touring in support of their tenth studio album, Death Magnetic, which will be released globally on September 12th. Death Magnetic is Metallica's first studio album since 2003's multi-platinum St. Anger, which hit No. 1 in 30 countries and has sold nearly six million copies worldwide.
