Pidgeon is a rock band from San Francisco that is mostly noisy, somewhat pretty and, generally, not as smart as they act. They try to write catchy songs but not "I've-heard-that-before" catchy. It would be difficult to site one particular act as a descriptive metaphore for their sound, but they agree that a Pixies-Motorhead-Cardigans combo comes as close as any. We gave "An Orcish Pleasure" music video by Pidgeon a listen and yeah, we like it. Let's see if it will 'grow' on us. (September, 2008) Ahh look a song which should have received more attention.
