The song was originally intended to be the third main single from Good Girl Gone Bad, but instead the song was earmarked only for dance club play and dance radio outlets in the U.S. "Hate That I Love You" was decided to replace the song as the third main single from Good Girl Gone Bad, while "Don't Stop the Music" was released in some European countries as the third single.
