Following up 2005's outstanding debut album, Tree City, New York's Robbers On High Street are gearing up to their next full length (Grand Animals to be released this Spring) by releasing a four-song digital EP, The Fatalist And Friends this week. Along with the Paul McCartney-penned track "Monkberry Moon Delight," the EP will give fans a fantastic preview for the upcoming album with searing tracks like "The Fatalist."
With hopping guitar and vocalist Ben Trokan's foreboding tone, "The Fatalist" makes you feel like two-stepping around town as a man on the run. And when that underlying melancholic violin and piano-work come to the forefront at the end, you'll be hitting repeat to feel the surge of apprehensive adrenaline all over again.
We gave "The Fatalist" music video by Robbers On High Street a listen and yeah, it's a nice song (November, 2006).
An oldie but didnot make it to 'goodie'. Apparantly not enough attention to make it to the top. A pity...
