Ryan Cabrera 'You Stand Watching' album

E.V.L.A./Atlantic recording artist Ryan Cabrera has announced details of the much-anticipated follow-up to last year's platinum-selling label debut, "TAKE IT ALL AWAY." Entitled "YOU STAND WATCHING," the new album is slated to arrive in stores nationwide on September 20th.

"Shine On," the just-released first single from "YOU STAND WATCHING," has already exploded at CHR/Pop radio, instantly becoming the #1 most-added track nationwide. In addition, Cabrera recently premiered the track's companion video during an August 17th visit to MTV's Total Request Live.

"YOU STAND WATCHING" finds the 23-year-old singer/songwriter further refining his winning pop-rock sound. Highlighted by such tracks as the soaring "Photo," the alt-rockin' "Hit Me With Your Light," the Latin-tinged "Our Story," and the moving ballad "It's You," the set is marked by captivating hooks, instantly engaging melodies, and Ryan's unaffected vocals. Self-produced, the album was recorded over a three-week period last June, with Cabrera taking a spontaneous and organic tack towards breathing life into his new songs.

"Whatever came out, came out," Ryan says. "I didn't want to spend ten years producing a record. I wanted the songs to be themselves, instead of worrying about all this crazy slickster production. I was interested in maintaining the dignity and the hearts of the songs, letting them breathe and become what they are."
