Ryan Star has announced the release of his eagerly awaited new EP. The "LAST TRAIN HOME" EP will be available via all digital outlets on June 16th. The EP is highlighted by Star's first single, "Last Train Home," which is currently impacting at Hot AC radio outlets nationwide, and the award-winning track, "Brand New Day," featured as the main theme to Fox's hit series, "Lie To Me." The song recently earned Star a BMI Television Award, honoring the composers of music featured in the past year's top-grossing films, top-rated prime-time network television series, and highest ranking cable network programs.
What's more, "LAST TRAIN HOME" includes "Right Now," which is currently soundtracking both The History Channel's summer programming campaign, as well as NBC's preview spots for the new drama series, "The Philanthropist." The EP also includes videos for both "Right Now" and the title track, along with "This Could Be The Year," which was included in two commercials aired during this year's Super Bowl festivities.

The acclaimed New York-based rocker will rejoin his recent tourmate David Cook for a series of early summer dates, kicking off June 21st at The Cotillion in Wichita, Kansas (see itinerary below). The tour will then continue through a 4th of July celebration at Dixie Landin' Theme Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The string of live dates precedes the release of Star's long awaited label debut, "11:59," which arrives later this year. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Matt Serletic (Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul) with additional production by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance), the album sees Star seamlessly melding traditional rock elements with captivating rhythms and resonant narratives. Thoughtfully and meticulously created, "11:59" highlights the Dix Hills, NY-native's stripped-bare vocal style and high-octane energy level.
In the meantime, Star's music has been featured in a number of high profile promotions and soundtracks. "This Could Be The Year" was included in recent spots promoting NFL's Pro Bowl and NBC's series, "Kings." In addition, "Right Now" was among the songs soundtracking both The NFL Network & Nike Presents, "Total Access: Nike REWIND" and ESPN's "Red Bull: New Year No Limits." Furthermore, the album track "We Might Fall" was recently featured on ABC's "One Life To Live."
Ryan's stellar songwriting and natural-born showmanship have earned him acclaim from a variety of publications, including Newsday, which recently hailed "Last Train Home" for taking "the drama and vocal power Star has conjured for years and (welding) it to an undeniable rock hook." Newsday also praised "Right Now" as "a massive rock anthem signaling Star's pending arrival."
