After a slew of successful commercial releases, veteran newcomer Sam Bisbee prepares for the release of his fourth album, Son of a Math Teacher and first on le Grand Magistery. The album features guest appearances by Leona Naess, Lucie Wainwright Roche, Mike Viola and Liz Tormes, and was co-produced with Britt Myers (Essex Green, Robbers On High Street, Sam Champion) and Bo Boddie. Two songs from the album have already been seen on the FX show "Damages" starring Glenn Close.

Sam recently signed a publishing deal with Nettwerk and is currently working on writing/producing songs for the upcoming album from Custard/Universal artist Reni Lane . He also produced and arranged the Cat Power version of Blondie 's "Hanging On the Telephone" for Cingular , composed the score for PAPER COVERS ROCK (in competition at the SXSW film festival this past year), and has been working on a screenplay with Vincent D'onofrio for a movie currently in production.

Every song on Son has a unique story and the same goes for the artwork. As a gesture of appreciation for his fans, Sam gave audience member a blank piece of paper and crayons to create their own vision of the cover. Sam chose his favorite among them and will be performing several dates in support of this new release.
