Seether are burning up the radio charts with their new smash hit single, "Country Song." The track has just blazed to the #2 spot on the Active Rock chart and is quickly approaching the Top Ten on the Alternative Rock chart, coming in at #11 this week. The song also made its debut on the iTunes Rock chart at #1. The tongue-in-cheek new video will make its premiere on MTV's websites (MTV.com, MTV2.com and MTVU.com) on Monday, April 18th and will begin airing on MTV2 and MTVU the following day. Last week, Seether performed the song on George Lopez's late night talk show, Lopez Tonight. "Country Song" only impacted at radio a few weeks ago and will be featured on Seether's forthcoming album, HOLDING ONTO STRINGS BETTER LEFT TO FRAY.

Seether's fourth album, HOLDING ONTO STRINGS BETTER LEFT TO FRAY, is due out May 17th via Wind-Up Records and is produced by the legendary Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine). The offering showcases songwriter and frontman Shaun Morgan's ability to successfully meld raw emotional lyrics with intensely melodic elements of heavy metal, post-grunge and alternative rock. The band has just hit the road and will give fans a preview of the new album - please see below for tour dates. All who purchase tickets to Seether headlining shows will receive a free copy of the new album as a thank you from the band.

South African natives Seether debuted on the scene in 2002 with the release of DISCLAIMER. The album went on to sell over 500,000 copies and was certified gold by the RIAA. Seether went on to release a reworked version of the album which included a DVD and bonus tracks. Aptly titled, DISCLAIMER II, the album went on to sell more than 800,000 copies when a new rendition of the track "Broken," featuring guest vocals by Amy Lee of Evanescence, became a Top 20 hit. In 2005, Seether released KARMA & EFFECT. The album debuted at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart. The band returned in 2007 with the release of FINDING BEAUTY IN NEGATIVE SPACES. Produced by Howard Benson, the album also debuted Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart (#9) and produced several hit singles, including the platinum track "Fake It" which went to #1 on the US Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock charts. FINDING BEAUTY IN NEGATIVE SPACES has sold nearly a million copies to date in the United States alone and includes the multi-platinum cover of "Careless Whisper." Seether is Shaun Morgan (vocals, guitar), Dale Stewart (bass) and John Humphrey (drums).
