Thought you might want to check out the video for “That Heat” from SERGIO MENDES’ new album TIMELESS. The song and video features ERYKAH BADU along with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, who produced the record. “That Heat”--an interpretation of “Slow Hot Wind” written by Henry Mancini--was a hit for SERGIO in 1966. The track has been updated for 2006 with will.i.am and Erykah lending their vocal talents to SERGIO’s infectious Brazilian melodies. The TIMELESS album, out now on Concord Records/Starbucks Hear Music, entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #44 and was described by Interview magazine as “…a glorious excursion that’s timeless, indeed--and funky as all get out (March 2006).”
