Shortyo to release King Of The Kounty
Hailing from Delaware County, PA, Shortyo's album "King Of The Kounty" is set for release on October 13th, 200ag9. "King Of The Kounty" will be distributed by E1 Entertainment (Formerly Koch Entertainment) and will be available at all music retail stores and digital media outlets.
Shortyo's premiere album, "King Of The Kounty", features rap icons Nate Dogg, Too Short and Lil Wayne. Platinum artist, Yung Berg, also lends his vocals to "King Of The Kounty's" first single, "Stripper" which can be heard on college and Philadelphia area stations. Shortyo's upcoming single, "There He Go", featuring Reed Dollaz, is a "hard thumping street anthem" aiming to give Philadelphia the lyrical fix they've been looking for.

In addition to Shortyo's major vocal guests, "King Of The Kounty" boasts an equally impressive production team. Drumma Boy, Oz and Da Decon, Basement Beats and more notable producer names collaborate with Shortyo in the creation of the upcoming "King Of The Kounty".
Shortyo's eloquent and raw style is showcased throughout the album with all songs written by Shortyo himself.
"My life has influenced every song on "King Of The Kounty". I write what I see, experience and witness others going through. This process keeps my music real, relevant and personal," states Shortyo.
Shortyo launched his career in 1997, establishing Affiliated Records. Shortyo released his first official CD, "Living My Life" after signing a major distribution deal in 2002. As Shortyo's career took off, so did the talent he signed under his label, Affiliated Records. Pleased, but not satisfied, Shortyo felt it was time to get back in the studio, leading to the eagerly anticipated release of "King Of The Kounty".

Smashing through the glitz and grime of a music industry where so many MC’s are ultra far out the masses can’t understand them, Eddystone’s Shortyo steps to the plate, mic drawn, lyrics poised. Those have anxiously awaited an MC that could speak to the nation’s streets and, at the same time, a culture that spans the globe. With overflowing confidence and a spit-game rivaling none, Shortyo is putting in work.
Having honed his face on stages from NYC the gritty streets of Philly, Shortyo garnered a die-hard worldwide fan-base. Refusing to be categorized as a member of the white rapper genre, Shortyo insists on defining his music with a rare authenticity and balance while teaching complacent MC’s what the future of the streets is all about.
Shortyo launched his career in 1997 when he started Affiliated Records and started putting his own mixtape's in the streets. Things were going great for the new label owner when in 2002 he signed a major distribution deal with 101 distribution in AZ and released his 1st official cd titled “Living My Life” With the UK produced track, “Broken Wings Featuring KLee” Shortyo's distinctly street vocals hit the college radio circuit hard and heavy. Shortly after that the world was introduced to Shortyo as he appeared On Major Mix tapes with the likes of 50cent, Camron and Jayz , Shortyo’s career was in full throttle.
In a span of 5 years following his 1st official release, Shortyo signed a few acts to his Affiliated imprint. Within those 5 years Affiliated Records released 10 albums nationwide and accumulated over 100,000 cd sales in-store and digital. Shortyo had no problem finding talent and putting in the forefront of the music industry but being an artist himself he started to get the "itch" again. "I was putting all these albums out, albums from cats like Cyssero, Omillio Sparks and Spider Loc ya know artists of that caliber, I mean these are major cats who came to me to do some things independently. I started to get the urge to get back in the studio and start recording another album"
Kicking off in 2009, Shortyo is blazing the airwaves with his smash radio hit, “Stripper” featuring platinum rapper Yung Berg. The single which will have every girl shaking their "Stanky Leg" in the club and is sure to do well on College and Commercial radio. Following the single will be Shortyo's new album "King Of The Kounty" which features production from well named producers like Felli Fel, Oz n da Decon and more and features including Devin The Dude, Yung Berg, Too $hort, and a few other surprises.
