SOFT is the sound of five guys making big atmospheric songs with a pop sensibility. The band came together when mutual friends descended upon Brooklyn via Wisconsin, Illinois, and Texas. Months spent in their practice space writing songs culminated in a trip to a ranch in upstate New York to finally commit the songs to tape. What resulted is their extraordinary 11-track debut album, Gone Faded (out Oct 23rd via Academy Fight Song Records.) "Higher" sounds like some great lost English band from the early 1990s with a sound that wouldn't have been out of place on an album from The Stone Roses or The Charlatans.

We gave "Higher" music video by SOFT a listen and yeah, it's a nice song (September, 2007). An oldie but didnot make it to 'goodie'. Apparantly not enough attention to make it to the top. A pity...
