The new album from Chicago heavy rockers Soil, will be released in the U.S. on October 20th via Bieler Bros. Records and three days later in Europe through Afm Records/Soulfood.
"Picture Perfect" was created by the production team of Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (Disturbed, Staind), Ulrich Wild (Deftones, Incubus) and Soil, with Dave Fortman (Mudvayne, Evanescence) handling mixing duties. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Like It Is", "Temptation", "Surrounded", and "Picture Perfect".
Soil's new album was originally supposed to be released in the U.S. via Driven Music Group, the Phoenix, Arizona-based music label and entertainment company created by former Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. However, that relationship appears to have been dissolved without producing any releases from the band.
Soil has been added tp Kittie's forthcoming U.S. headlining tour, which is scheduled to kick off on September 27th in New York City. Also scheduled to appear are Arkaea and Straight Line Stitch. The band has toured the world with rock's biggest names including Ozzy Osbourne, System Of A Down, Mudvayne, Shinedown, Seether and many more.
Soil's last album, "True Self", was released in May 2006 via Drt Entertainment. The follow-up to 2004's "Redefine" was recorded and mixed at Bomb Shelter studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Ulrich Wild (Static-X, Taproot).
The single, "Like It is" impacts Rock on September 8th.
