Nearly 40 years after the Rolling Stones covered Burke’s “Cry To Me” and “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love,” Burke returns the favor, leaving his indelible imprint on the Stones’ “I Got The Blues.” Make Do With What You Got also features Burke’s spiritually passionate interpretations of Hank Williams’ mournfully solemn warning “Wealth Won’t Save Your Soul,” Bob Dylan’s “What Good Am I,” Robbie Robertson’s (The Band) “It Makes No Difference” and Dr. John’s “Make Do With What You Got” (written specifically for Burke and hand-delivered).
