Spree Wilson Brings Out The Spark On 2nd Mixtape
Last year Spree Wilson made his debut with the mixtape 'The Never Ending Now' which was a commercial effort by Converse. Now he is back with a fresh new single 'King Shit (The Answer)' with rapper Novel. The video can be seen below and was shot with just an iPhone. Naturally edited by a professional making it look pretty awesome.
The single is taken from his second mixtape 'The Spark' which is set to be released early March. If you listened to the single then you heard some quality production work done by Organized Noise who are known for their work with Outkast.
As always he will hit the road as well. So please watch his website for upcoming dates because you will want to hear lines as these in real life: "Yeah...I was sleeping in a train station just two years ago / Now some things are changing and it's feeling like a miracle."

Always somewhat of a misfit growing up, Spree has a placid manner, yet he can often be found at the center of a crowd. There is a disarming presence about him – a quiet greatness. Born in Nashville and musically re-born in Atlanta, Spree's childhood and high school years were spent cultivating his love for Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, choir music at church, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, Velvet Underground and Jimi Hendrix. He fell in love with the guitar and started making beats on a Casio keyboard, a gift from the single mother who raised him. Then he heard what he has called "the landmark album of his life," Outkast's Aquemini. After attending college at Clark Atlanta University in Georgia, Spree was offered an internship and eventually a deal by heavyweight producer Dallas Austin after he stumbled across Spree's impressive guitar playing in an Atlanta store. After being mentored by Dallas, Spree began to feel like he was ready for a change and bought a one-way ticket to New York City on a leap of faith. After sleeping in the subway and Penn Station for weeks he received a phone call that changed his life. His demos had fallen into the hands of Q-Tip, who was ready and willing to help Spree get his foot in the door of the NYC music industry. In 2010 he was signed to Sony.
