With a lineup consisting of artists from various genres, including R&B, rap, rock, reggae and pop, the CD is the first of its kind featuring artists' unique interpretations of Mr. Wonder's songs. The first single from the set is "That Girl," by JOE featuring Mr. Cheeks, the original version of which was released in 1982.

A diverse group of recording artists come together on Conception: An Interpretation of Stevie Wonder's Songs, a tribute album
featuring the classic songs of one of the most prolific singer/songwriters of our time.
With a lineup consisting of artists from various genres, including R&B, rap, rock, reggae and pop, the CD is the first of its kind featuring artists' unique interpretations of Mr. Wonder's songs. The first single from the set is "That Girl," by JOE featuring Mr. Cheeks, the original version of which was released in 1982 from Wonder's Original Musiquarium I. The single is enjoying early success, checking in as the #2 most added song at urban radio last week.
Other tracks on the 14-song CD, which is due in stores March 18, include Eric Clapton's timely rendition of "Higher Ground;" "You Will Know," by Angie Stone; "Superstition," by Glenn Lewis; Mary J. Blige's version of"Overjoyed;" "Send One Your Love," by Brian McKnight; "Visions" by Musiq; and "Rocket Love," by Black Coffey.
The songs featured on Conception... are taken from some of Stevie Wonder's most memorable albums, including Talking Book (1972), Innervisions (1973), Songs in the Key of Life (1976), Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants (1979), Hotter Than July (1980), Original Musiquarium I (1982), In Square Circles (1985), and Characters (1987).
Mr. Wonder most recently received a Grammy nomination for "Christmas Song," a duet with label-mate India.Arie. He is currently in the studio workingon a new album.
