The Submarines's Biography

As one excitingly hectic year comes to an end for THE SUBMARINES, another begins. The duo will kick off 2009 with a co-headline tour alongside The Morning Benders. The 23-city trek begins on January 31 in Costa Mesa, CA and ends on March 1 in San Diego, CA, with the two bands trading off closing duties each night.

THE SUBMARINES released their sophomore full-length album HONEYSUCKLE WEEKS earlier this year to critical acclaim. Paste Magazine stated, "John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard jam a wealth of sonic textures-all designed with stunning clarity and obvious focus-into the album's 10 songs," and Metro NY called it "the soundtrack of the summer." They received praise and were featured in publications like ReadyMade, Filter, VenusZine, Magnet, Performing Songwriter and Time Out NY, and landed on the cover of LA Weekly.
